LUMA CREATIONS END OF YEAR CELEBRATION

In December 2015, Liverpool was awarded the prestigious UNESCO City of Music designation — and what better way to celebrate this milestone than with an unforgettable night of music, dance, and Latin energy?

On Friday, 13th December, experience the electrifying sounds of Son Rompe Pera from Mexico — live at District, one of Liverpool’s most iconic and enduring grassroots venues. Presented by LUMA Creations, this promises to be a night to remember.

Hailing from Mexico, Son Rompe Pera bring their exhilarating cumbia rhythms, urban flair, and unstoppable dance beats. Joining them is our very own DJ Muvelo, the legendary Costa Rican selector known for his high-energy Latin mixes that keep the floor moving all night long.

If you loved Kumbia Boruka, you’ll be blown away by Son Rompe Pera — pioneers of the globally celebrated Cumbia Punk movement. They’ve reimagined the traditional marimba, pushing it to new creative heights with their internationally acclaimed sound — rebellious, heartfelt, and impossible to resist.

And because no Latin night is complete without great food, you can treat yourself to the mouthwatering street food of Mi Soda Familiar! You’ll remember them from Latin American Culture Day and La Feria25 — they sold out last time, so come early and grab yours while it lasts!
