Sheffield Drew the Gun

KNOWSLEY MUSIC FESTIVAL

Knowsley Music Festival is on us again with more get shows to get your lugholes excited.

Over the last few years the festival has showcased some amazing gigs by the likes of The Real Thing, Craig Charles, Lapsley, Michael Head and The Lightning Seeds in a range of wonderful venues. Shakespeare of the North is a unique space and the gigs there have been really special.

Paul Young music

St Chad’s Church is another one and those who were lucky enough to see The Lightning Seeds still talk about is as one of the best gigs ever. A bit less glamorous but for my money Michael Heads gig at the Leisure Centre in Huyton was right up there. I’ve seen Mick about a million times and it’s still one of my favourite ever gigs.

She Drew the Gun

Of course Knowsley has a fair bit of pedigree in producing musical talent itself.  Local heroes China Crisis have done a couple of sold out gigs as part of the festival and Dave McCabe (Zutons) and others all emerged from Knowsley. This year the line up includes She Drew the Gun, who always put on a great show, Paul young, and Chic Le Freak.

Go on, you know you want to. Get out to Knowsley and give your ears and your dancing shoes a treat.
