THE SHADOWS

The BME is hosting what looks like an intriguing event this week with two big names from the music world talking about their love of The Shadows.

Bob Stanley, who I know from his music journalism days, is the author of the book  about the bunch of Newcastle lads who became one of the best known bands in the world. Bob is also one third of the band St Etienne, who are just about to embark on their last ever tour.

Bob will be accompanied on the night by Liverpool legend and Echo and the Bunnymen guitarist Will Sergeant  who is one of one of many respected musicians who have a love for a band whose influence is often overlooked
