CALLING ALL COMPOSERS SFORZANDO SHOWCASE

LIPA student David Marshall, a composer and music manager who is currently studying at LIPA is looking to set up a new exciting opportunity for emerging composers in the North West.

Artists will have the opportunity to submit their pieces for either solo piano or the in house string quartet which will then be performed live for the public to hear and get to know the contemporary classical genre and its musicians better.

This event provides a springboard for upcoming composers to launch their careers and for the public to kindle a love for classical music. The aim is simply to bring this side of the industry to the same standard as the popular music sector, giving prospective musicians regular opportunities for exposure that are at such a premium in the modern industry. Our first event is currently scheduled for the beginning of March with the venue and exact date to be confirmed soon.

• A score of 1 or 2 of your original compositions for either solo piano or string quartet (provide individual string parts)
• A professional photo of yourself
• A brief biography of yourself (who/what inspires you, who are you)
• A link to any released music (Spotify, Soundcloud, etc.)
